ATTENDU expected at the Quesnay!

Attendu will stand at the Haras du Quesnay in 2018. Group winner at 2, 3 and 4 years, he is outcross on Northern Dancer up to the fifth generation. This first son of Acclamation standing in France, will be offered at an attractive €5,000 live foal.
Trained by Carlos Laffon-Parias, Attendu ran under the colours of his breeders Wertheimer & Frère. He was quite precocious winning at 2 years in the Prix d’Exmès (6f.) before winning his first Group in the Gr.3 Prix La Rochette over 7 furlongs and taking the third place of the Gr.1 Criterium International. At 3 years, he confirms he has some speed when taking home the Gr.3 Prix du Palais-Royal and finishing second of the Gr.3 Prix Djebel and Gr.3 Prix du Pin over 7 furlongs. He stayed in training at 4 years, very regular, he placed four times in Groups from 6 furlongs up to the mile before imposing himself in the Gr.3 Prix Quincey.
His maternal origins show precocity and speed. Indeed, his dam Gwenseb (Green Tune) is a Group winner at 2years. She won the Gr.3 Prix du Bois over 5 furlongs. She produced four black type horses, including Impassable (Invincible Spirit), winner of the Gr.2 Prix de Sandringham and Gr.2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein.
His sire’s, Acclamation, progeny continue to stand out on the track, like Marsha, who won the Gr.1 Nunthorpe Stakes and Aclaim, winner of the Gr.1 Prix de la Forêt. But his success is even more impressive as a sire of sires. Dark Angel already gave 69 Stakes horses including 25 Group winners with his seven first crops. This year, he is the sire of Harry Angel, winner of the Gr.1 July Cup Stakes and Gr.1 Sprint Cup Stakes, Battaash, winner of the Gr.1 Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp and Persuasive, who won the Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes. Moreover, Equiano gave 18 black type horses including 8 Group winners out of his four first crops, including in 2017, The Tin Man, winner of the Gr.1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes.
